A SUMMER AFTERNOON AT THE GOLDFIELD HOTEL
The Goldfield Hotel opened its doors in 1908, just a year later than the recently visited Mizpah Hotel (in Tonopah, NV). It replaced two smaller buildings that also had the same name, which had burned in a fire.
We arrived on a Sunday afternoon, when our gracious hosts invited us out to the Goldfield to investigate on this hot August 21st afternoon.
The hotel itself is now famous from both “Ghost Hunters” and “Ghost Adventures” having done multiple investigations there, not to mention the number of smaller investigation teams. Is the Goldfield a haunted hotel? I myself had no real personal experiences at this hotel and I did get a few EVPs, but nothing dramatic happened around me per se.
We did have some K2 activity that Terri had while holding a conversation with a known spirit in the hotel, Angel on the 2nd floor (footage of this is included in the video with this post). The activity seemed to be rampant with the K2 meter, but as far as EVP’s go, not many to speak of. Either there wasn’t anyone home much to talk or someone was keeping everyone quiet while were there.
The top 2 floors have seen better days with some floor rotting and endless birds. I would love to go back and do a proper investigation at night and much smaller group of people. The hotel has a lot of echo as it is, so even with the small group we had, it was a lot of carried sound.
Take a look at the video and see and hear the Goldfield Hotel. Let me know what you think!
